Mission statement
The Gatehouse Parents’ Association is committed to advancing the education of pupils in the school by:
- developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
- engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
Committee Meetings
As members of the NCPTA we follow the model constitution, further information can be found at the NCPTA’s website www.ncpta.org.uk or their information page.
Meetings take place at least twice per term and more regularly around events. For parents’ convenience meetings alternate between evenings and after school so that as many parents as possible can be involved. Please feel free to learn more about us, by attending a meeting or contacting a committee member.
Look in the events section & calendar for more information on meetings.
Fundraising
Recent Events
The Autumn Party was a huge success and we raised £3,000 for the school. The GPA wishes to thank all parents and staff for their support, time and generous donations.
In the Spring Term we organised a Cocktail Party/Auction one night for parents and friends to get to know each other a little better.
Film Night
We will also be arranging a film night for the children. Feature Films will be shown prior to release on DVD. Popcorn and drinks will be available.
Fundraising Aims
Our last fundraising aim was to introduce interactive whiteboards to the school and now every classroom has one! Mrs Canham sent us a thank you note for this last year – read it here.
Social Event
Our three main social events are
The Summer Fete
The Spring Cocktail Party/Auction Night
The Autumn Party
We hope to set up a social subcommittee and would welcome new members, support and ideas.
If you want to stay informed, please sign up to the GPA’s email list – the form is on the right near the top.
